Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

This October you can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer the next time you send flowers. Help Calyx Flowers, as we join the thousands who want to see a cure for breast cancer found, by sending our exquisite Pink Ribbon Roses BouquetWe will donate 10% of the revenue raised by the sale of each bouquet to fund breast cancer research.

  • Every 3 minutes a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer.
  • Every 13 minutes, a woman will die.

You can make a difference. So as a fellow flower lover who has lost a very special friend to breast cancer three months ago, take the time to send something so cheerful and charming to a loved one, best friend or better yet to a breast cancer survivor. It makes a heartwarming gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or to simply say, “thinking of you.”

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

If you have ever had a friend or even friends diagnosed with breast cancer like I have in the recent years, you know how devastating and tough this disease really is. So to honor the many individuals affected by breast cancer Calyx Flowers in 2007 started our “Bouquets for Breast Cancer” program. Each year we donate 10% of the revenue raised by the sale of these flowers to fund breast cancer research. It’s all about making a difference.

Our featured bouquet for 2010 is the Pink Ribbon Roses Bouquet. It’s a bouquet of vibrant beauty that will have your recipient saying, “Oooo la la roses!” when it arrives in splendid fashion. I just love the way the pink roses combine with the intriguing light green roses which are a variety called “Super Green.”

If you’ve thought about sending flowers, Pink Ribbon Roses Bouquet is a great choice to give this October. I’ve sent it to my survivor friends and here’s a quick shout out to my dear friend Tracy – May you continue to heal and continue to fight. You have more strength and courage than I could ever imagine having. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily. Love you!
